We are offering NSUN members free places on a facilitation training course by Act Build Change.

ABC will deliver a 2.5 hour session to NSUN member groups on facilitating through conflict, difference and tension. This session will support participants to caringly facilitate spaces where there are disagreements, differences and/or tension, this will include considering the care of facilitators. The session will also support participants to strengthen practice in decision making in rooms in such contexts. It will build on existing knowledge in the room and create space for participants to learn from each others’ experiences and practice. The session will involve a combination of teaching, reflective space and group conversation.

NSUN is a charity and membership organisation of people and grassroots groups with lived experience of mental ill-health, trauma and distress, working towards the redistribution of power and resource in mental health. You can find out more about us here.

About Act Build Change

In 2018, Act Build Change began their mission to transform the way communities organise, and in turn our lives and society at large. They began as a scrappy open source training site. Now, they are a transformative organising school that travels across the UK to support groups grow teams, build power and take action together.

Building on their own experience and from rich traditions, Act Build Change make transformative organising skills available to all, with a focus on those closest to the sharp end of systemic injustice. They are a team of experienced organisers, and have contributed to struggles and victories for systemic change, locally and nationally. Act Build Change bring their tools, experience and energy to work alongside you every step of the way, through the ups and the downs.
