Esme Hahlo (she/her)

Esme joined NSUN in February 2024 as Operations Manager. She is responsible for the effective running of the day to day functions of the charity through managing operations across areas of governance, policies, processes, compliance, and people and culture. Esme has an interest in wellbeing and mental health support and believes that the centring of lived experience is imperative for driving change that is meaningful, impactful and sustainable. Esme is passionate about creating an environment of care and nurture for staff and supporting an organisation to be operationally well managed and effectively governed, to enable it to follow its mission and make positive change.

Esme holds a BA in International Development from the University of East Anglia and is a Charityworks graduate. Prior to joining NSUN she worked in operations for a small healthcare charity. Esme has previously worked in education technology systems and is a qualified teacher of English as a second language. She has experience volunteering with a range of charities that advocate for refugee integration, women’s rights and girls’ education. She currently volunteers with a charity that delivers urban forest school sessions for primary school children and is training to be a forest school leader. Esme loves being outside, watching live music and wild swimming.
