Amy Wells (she/her)

Amy (she/her) joined NSUN in 2020. As NSUN’s Head of Communications and Membership, she leads on the development and delivery of NSUN’s communications strategy and membership offer in collaboration with our policy and capacity-building teams.

Amy is interested in political and critical approaches to thinking about mental ill-health, trauma, distress, and madness, and the ways in which user-led groups might be resourced in order to provide alternative forms of care outside of harmful state systems.

Based in London, Amy is originally from Grimsby and has a degree in Zoology from the University of Leeds. Prior to joining NSUN she was the elected Welfare Officer on Leeds University Union’s student executive team. She also spent two years on the Advisory Committee for Student Minds, the student mental health charity. She is a trustee of the experience-led charity Self Injury Support.

Amy works full time and can be contacted at amy.wells@nsun.org.uk.
