Amy Wells (she/her)

Amy (she/her) joined NSUN in 2020. As NSUN’s Senior Communications and Membership Manager, she leads on the development and delivery of NSUN’s communications strategy and works on NSUN’s membership offer, projects, and processes.

Amy is interested in political and critical approaches to thinking about mental ill-health, trauma, distress, and madness, and the ways in which user-led groups might be resourced in order to provide alternative forms of care outside of harmful state systems.

Amy is originally from Grimsby and has a degree in Zoology from the University of Leeds. Prior to joining NSUN she was the Welfare Officer on Leeds University Union’s student executive team. She also spent two years on the Advisory Committee for Student Minds.
