• Reigniting the Space (BAME survivor researcher project), lead

Dominic Makuvachuma is a Zimbabwean mental health survivor who has led BME projects both locally and nationally. He has had a longstanding relationship with NSUN since his days as project development manager of the Catch-A-Fiya Network. He has worked as the Service User Involvement Deputy Director at Together, the People Participation lead in City & Hackney, for the East London Mental Health Foundation Trust and he has also worked as national programme lead with the Afiya Trust and the Social Perspectives Network (SPN). Dominic was also the Peer Support Manager and Engagement Manager at Mind. He served as a NSUN Trustee for over six years and supported the Dancing to our own tunes and TOOTS project. Dominic has represented NSUN at events and conferences and now co-ordinates the Reigniting the Space project on NSUN’s behalf.
