Nicky Forsythe of the Positive Therapy Company is offering 8 NSUN members the opportunity to do the Talk for Health programme at no cost.

Talk for Health is a programme which trains you in the counselling and self-awareness skills which help you be effective in giving and receiving peer support.

It covers self-awareness, listening, emotions-talk, assertiveness, giving constructive feedback, and enhancing well-being.  It also offers an opportunity for self-development in terms of exploring and resolving current life-dilemmas.

It is suitable for anyone who wants to, or does, offer peer support either formally or informally.

The programme will run on:

  • Wednesday 28th September 10am to 4pm
  • Wednesday 5th October 10am to 4pm
  • Wednesday 12th October 10am to 4pm
  • Wednesday 2nd November 2pm to 4pm

If you would like to participate you will need to attend one of two taster sessions which will take place on  July 11th in London.  If you are interested in doing the whole programme you can apply after the taster sessions and places will be given using the following criteria:

  • You intend to offer or facilitate peer support
  • You are adequately resourced to take responsibility for your mental health and well-being
  • Beyond this, places will be offered on a ‘first come, first served’ basis

You can read more about the Talk for Health programme on the Positive Therapy Centre website.

Please email to book your place on the taster session.
