Nominate for the mental health Marsh Awards

‘When we heard we won the Marsh Award, we were so shocked but so happy! There are so many amazing peer support groups out there…..it was definitely a celebration for all of us.’  Evolve (2016 winners)

Following two successful years, Mind (with Peerfest Partners) are working again with Marsh Christian Trust to truly recognise excellence in mental health peer support.

In 2017 the Awards are expanding to feature 3 new categories - and nominations are now open!

Nominations are now welcomed from peer led projects, groups and organisations who feel they deserve to be recognised as an excellent example of peer support.

3 projects will each be awarded cash of £1000 to support their activities, within these new categories:

  1. ‘Peer Support at Work’ – an award for peer support based in employers or organisations
  2. ‘Doing It for Ourselves’ – an award to an independent peer led group
  3. ‘Innovative Peer Support’ – an award for a project whose approach is new, exciting or different

‘The Marsh Award has brought extra strength to EKTA and has brought reassurance for the future as a safe haven for many South Asian community members undergoing mental health problems in Harrow’. EKTA (2015 winners)

Selected projects will be invited to this year’s Peerfest, the Mind Media Awards and offered other activities through Peerfest partners’ work over the coming year.

Further information including online and downloadable nomination forms, can be found here.

The closing date for all nominations is 21 July 2017. Projects will be selected by a judging panel and an award presentation will feature during Peerfest later in the year.
