Our Mission and Aims


Our vision is of a diverse, inclusive and influential user-led network with the strength to challenge inequality and improve lives.


Our mission is to create a network which will engage and support the wide diversity of mental health service users and survivors across England in order to strengthen the user voice.


  • Facilitate active links between service user groups and individuals.
  • Build capacity for service user groups.
  • Broker and facilitate access to service users for purposes of influencing and informing policy-makers and planners.

The latest strategy aims to consolidate our ambitions for the next five years and help to maintain the independent, collective and direct voice of experience.

This was NSUN's first five year plan. Views from NSUN's annual members' survey contributed to this 5 year plan and thesubsequent annual reviews.
