Who Can Join, and What Are the Benefits?

Individual users and user groups as well as allies, both individuals and groups, can join. All members have access to a private members’ area, where they will find publications, links, and other valuable information about service user and survivor led groups and organisations.

Membership

By joining, you will have access to other users and groups, and information. Network is part of our name, and networking is our major goal. Whichever option you choose, you will have access to the members’ area, and will receive newsletters and other material.

Individual Users

You have three options. You can

• Join, and share your personal information with other users and user groups
• Join, and share your personal information with other users and user groups, and also with allies
• Join, and NOT share information with anyone other than NSUN staff.

Whichever option you choose, you will have access to the members’ area, and will receive newsletters and other material.

User Groups

You have two options:

• Join, and share your information with users and user groups and allies
• Join, and share your information with users and user groups, but NOTwith allies

Benefits

Our goal is to help service user groups, and organisations become stronger. When you become a member, we can help you by:

• Bringing you in contact with other groups to provide mutual support, sharing good practices,  etc.;
• Providing valuable information to service user groups, including information about recruitment, tendering and funding opportunities; template documents on HR policies and practices including contracts;
• Helping to raise your profile by advertising your organization and any special events
• Providing you with newsletters, publications, and other information we distribute.

Allies

Other organisations, that are not service user groups, can also benefit from joining NSUN. Apart from indicating your organisation’s commitment to user involvement, joining NSUN can provide you with much valuable information about service user and survivor led groups and organisations.

Membership Fees

Individual and user group membership is absolutely free.

Membership for allies operates on a sliding scale governed by annual turnover.

• Annual turnover under £5000: Free
• Annual turnover £5,000 — £50,000: £20 per year
• Annual turnover £50,000 — £250,0000: £50 per year
• Annual turnover £250,000 — £2,000,000: £200 per year
• Annual turnover more than £2,000,000: Negotiable. Please call to discuss.
