Welcome to the National Survivor User Network!
As the user movement has exploded in this country over the past decades, it has become clearer and clearer that we need a national network to offer support, which includes:
- Creating active links between service user groups and individuals
- Capacity building for service user groups
- Brokering and facilitating access between policy makers and service users
- Training people to be effective in these areas.
The user-led National Survivor User Network (NSUN) is dedicated to doing just this. By becoming a member — at no cost to individuals or groups — you will have access to the following:
Our Online User Database
Here, in a protected area, you, as a user or a user group, can search for others in your area with similar interests. If you choose, and only if you choose, you can allow your name to be available to health professionals and other allies of our movement. See our privacy statement.
Practical Assistance for New Groups
High hopes and dreams power the creation of user groups; down-to-earth management and organisational techniques sustain them. NSUN provides answers to such questions as: Where can I find funding for my group? How do I manage my staff? Is balancing a budget easy? What other groups work in the area in which I am interested, and can they help me? What does good governance mean?
We provide resources, too, for non-members. On this site you will also find newsletters and other publications, and information about past and upcoming service user conferences.
Last, but not least, we are user-led, and we want your feedback. We welcome enquiries about membership, or other ways in which we can work together, suggestions for new topics you would like to see us cover, or simply comments about our website.
